Cheshire Traveline provides timetable information for any bus, rail or coach service serving Cheshire & Warrington:

7 days a week from 8am to 8pm - Closed: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years Day

The County Council have a useful Bus Route Map. There is also a good NorthWest Journey Planner service available.

Car

If you are driving into Chester then the Park & Ride scheme is environmentally friendly (reducing low mpg stop and go driving) and also cheaper than most parking in the city centre. Buses are regular and frequent - check the timetable.

Cycle

Short on dedicated cycle routes Chester does have The Chester Cycling Campaign - their website has information on cycling, including leisure routes. There is also an active Chester Road Cycling Club - which promotes cycling as a sport and recreation in the area.
